West4Women Rules of Membership
Membership is available to women of any age and type of employment - including studying, career break, part-time, maternity leave, retired, full time carers - who live in the Chiswick, Acton, Hammersmith and Shepherd’s Bush areas. Subscription is £12 p.a.
The group exists to offer support, information, recommendations, networking and social events to its members. We share information via an e-mail list and via our website.
All members are expected to interact constructively, consult and collaborate and respect the opinions of others. Members should avoid overt criticism and treat each other with consideration and courtesy.

You will receive an application form and these Rules of Membership. A request to be included in our e-mail list means that you accept these rules.
Emails
1. Advertising is restricted. If you want to advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations you must have permission from a member of the committee.
2. The Rules for advertising are as follows:
• We send individual advertising to the email group e.g. My cleaner has some hours free;
• We do not send round any advertising from companies or businesses, unless run by members (see below) or if there is a specific discount for the group. The number of e-mails per company will be limited at the Committee’s discretion;
• We do not advertise for anyone who has not been recommended by a member;
• We do not accept paid for links or adverts from local businesses;
• We will consider advertising members’ businesses to other members;
• Decisions on advertising will be taken by the committee and their decision is final.
3. Your details will not be sold or given to any third party, mailing lists etc. West4Women aims to share information between members but to maintain privacy and independence. However, your contact details will be available to committee members and, in the course of liaising with other members of the group, your email or telephone number may be disclosed to other members.
4. If you wish to stop receiving emails from the group please notify Ann.Crighton11@gmail.com who will request the committee and, if applicable, any members to remove your contact details.
5. Please only give recommendations. We are not sure of the legal position if we allow negative comments.
6. While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, profanity, insults or personal attacks. Any such e-mails will not be circulated. The Committee’s decision is final in these matters.
7. No notices deemed by the Committee to be religious or political will be circulated.
